The workshop Vídeo para llevar (Takeaway video)will take place between 17:00–21:00 on May 30 and 31 at the I.E.S El Brocense High School. (Av. el Brocense nº. 2, Cáceres) and is aimed at students and professors from the audiovisual communication field, as well as all those interested in arts, video, films and communications.
One of the biggest accomplishments in the field of audiovisual technology is the possibility of recording videos (in 3GP format) with the mobile phone easily and comfortably and, therefore, video has become a means of artistic expression that is readily accessible today. Its user-friendliness today democratises art, continues to expand the possibilities in the creative audiovisual sector and diversifies the universes of expression.
Through this workshop, we will analyse some video pieces that have been made in this format to see what kind of narrative resources have been utilised in them, what advantages and unique features this video format offers, defining the stages of the development process of any audiovisual work (pre-production, production, post-production, distribution, and so on). We will also experiment with our cameras through a series of guided exercises and, finally, will give some keys to understand the phenomenon of customised display and the exchange of files via mobile.
Also, the participants will be able to apply what they learned in the workshop, if they wish, by getting involved in the development of a series of specific videos, using mobile phones, of the Cáceres Abierto programme between June 1 and 4 and that may be posted on our websiteand our YouTube page.
